Spanish Embassies are bilateral missions abroad. Spanish Embassies promote foreign interests abroad. The Spanish also plays an important role in development, cultural affairs and contacts with the press. The activities of all Spanish embassies are coordinated from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs in Spain.

 

An Embassy is described as a permanent diplomatic mission which is generally located in a country's capital city. The Spanish embassy is responsible for representing the home country abroad and handling major diplomatic issues, such as preserving the rights of citizens abroad. The Spanish ambassador is the highest official in the Spanish embassy and acting as the chief diplomat and spokesperson for the Spanish government.

 

Consular Services - The consular department of the Spanish Embassy offers consular services to Spanish citizens and certifies signatures and document legalisation.

 

Spanish Travel documents and Visa - When you lost your Spanish passport or need a new passport you can contact the Embassy by telephone or email. For the application of a Spanish visa or other travel documents the Embassy can inform you on all the procedures.
